Help us raise £30,000 to plant 5,000 trees in Dorset by September 2026!
We’ve partnered with Forestry England to support the restoration of an ancient woodland site at Queen’s Copse in Wimborne, Dorset - just 25 miles from the Museum.
With your support, this project will help return the woodland to its original character and ecological value, creating a resilient, biodiverse habitat that captures carbon, supports wildlife, and remains open for people to enjoy for generations to come.
Each £6 donation, will contribute towards the cost of planting a tree, which includes:
- The sapling
- The wooden stake, tree guard and any deer fencing required to stop the young trees being destroyed
- Up to 10 years of active management to ensure the tree is established and free of pests and diseases (ensuring that the tree is a genuinely long-term investment)
We don’t charge for parking at the museum and planting a tree costs less than an all-day space at a beachside car park but will create a legacy that lasts a lifetime.
When you donate you’ll receive a confirmation email acknowledging your contribution to this important restoration project.
We’ll keep you updated on our progress towards the £30,000 target, and you can check here at any time to see how we’re getting on. [Here]
